Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how M/s Anveshi Ventures ("Anveshi Ventures", "we", "us"), the owner and operator of Rev-N-Ryd, collects, uses, shares and handles personal information when you use the Rev-N-Ryd mobile application and the Rev-N-Ryd website (together, the "Service").
Rev-N-Ryd is a platform for motorcycle riders. It allows riders to create a profile, connect with other riders, form and join communities ("Circles"), organise and take part in group rides, share their location with a ride group while a ride is in progress, and communicate through posts, comments, chat and live group voice (Ride Broadcast).
Because the Service supports real-world group riding, it necessarily handles certain categories of information that many applications do not, including identity verification information and location information. This Policy describes those categories in detail.
1.1 Who we are
Rev-N-Ryd is owned and operated by M/s Anveshi Ventures, a partnership firm in India, with its principal place of business at Natthulal Katre, Ward No. 33, Hari Om Nagar, Gaykhuri, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh 481001, India. Anveshi Ventures is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, that makes us the "Data Fiduciary" for it.
Rev-N-Ryd is launching first in India. This Policy is written with Indian data protection law in mind. Section 12 explains your rights, and section 17 explains how to contact us or raise a grievance.
1.2 Scope
This Policy applies to riders who use the Rev-N-Ryd app and to visitors to the Rev-N-Ryd website. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and our Community Guidelines.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the categories of information set out below. We collect them because the Service requires them to function, not for advertising or profiling purposes.
2.1 Account and authentication information
You sign in to Rev-N-Ryd using a Google account, or using your phone number with a one-time code sent by SMS. Rev-N-Ryd does not offer email-and-password sign-in and does not create, hold or manage a Rev-N-Ryd password for you.
Depending on the sign-in method used, we hold the email address or phone number associated with your sign-in, together with the account identifier assigned to you. If you link a phone number to an account originally created with a Google account, we hold both.
2.2 Profile information
When you complete registration, we collect:
- your first and last name;
- a username;
- your date of birth;
- your gender;
- a profile photograph, a cover photograph and a short biography, where you choose to provide them;
- your riding preferences, including rider type, preferred terrain, preferred ride types and typical ride distance;
- details of the motorcycle or motorcycles in your garage;
- a home location that you select, and a current location where you choose to set one.
You may change or remove most of this information at any time from within the app.
2.3 Identity verification information
Where you undertake identity verification, we process the identity document you submit and a photograph of yourself taken for that purpose. This category is addressed in full in section 5.
2.4 Location and Ride Mode information
We process location information in connection with the location-based features of the Service, including the location you select as your base, map and route planning, meeting point suggestions, and the sharing of your position with a ride group while a ride is in progress. This category is addressed in full in section 6.
2.5 Ride participation and activity information
We collect information about your activity on the Service, including the rides you create or join, your role in a ride, invitations and requests to join, ride details such as destination, route, meeting point and timing, and the outcome of a ride.
2.6 Circle and community information
We collect information about the Circles you own, administer, join or request to join, including Circle names, descriptions, rules and imagery, membership and join requests, and your activity within a Circle.
2.7 Communications and user-generated content
We collect the content you create on the Service, including posts, comments and reactions in Circles, messages in Circle chat and ride chat, updates you post to your own timeline, photographs and other media you upload, and mentions of other riders.
Rev-N-Ryd does not provide private one-to-one messaging. All messaging on the Service takes place in a Circle chat or a ride chat and is visible to the other members of that Circle or ride.
2.8 Voice information
Rev-N-Ryd provides a live group voice feature for use during a ride. We process the information necessary to coordinate a voice session, such as which riders are connected and which rider currently has permission to speak. This category is addressed in full in section 7.
2.9 Device and technical information
To deliver notifications to your device, we register a device token issued by the operating system's notification service, together with limited technical information about the device required to deliver a notification and to identify a token that is no longer valid.
Our systems also generate technical and operational records in the ordinary course of running the Service, which we use to operate, secure and troubleshoot it.
2.10 Notification information
We hold your notification preferences and the notifications generated for you by activity on the Service, together with records indicating whether a notification was successfully delivered.
2.11 Reports, support and contact information
If you report another rider, a ride, a Circle, a post, a place or an event, we collect the report, including the categories you select, any explanation you provide, and the fact that you submitted it.
If you send us feedback or report a problem from within the app, we collect the issue type, your description and your account details.
If you contact us through the Contact Us page on our website, we collect the issue type, email address, subject and message you provide. If you join our waiting list, we collect the email address you provide, together with any campaign or referral parameters present in the web address you arrived through, which tell us where the link you followed was published.
2.12 Contact matching information
If you choose to use the friend discovery feature, and only if you grant the contacts permission, your device reads the phone numbers in your address book and converts each one into a fixed-length code using a one-way mathematical function (SHA-256 hashing) before anything is sent to us. Only those codes are sent. Names, email addresses and other details from your address book are not.
We compare the codes against the same codes for phone numbers of registered riders, so that we can show you which of your contacts are on Rev-N-Ryd. We do not store the codes you submit after the comparison, and no other rider is told that their number appeared in your address book.
Hashing protects the numbers in transit and avoids sending them in readable form. It is not the same as anonymisation: a phone number can, with effort, be matched to its code. For that reason we treat these codes as personal information, use them only for matching, and do not keep them.
2.13 Information we do not collect
Rev-N-Ryd does not use advertising services, does not build advertising or behavioural profiles, does not collect information for advertising purposes, and does not sell personal information. The campaign and referral parameters described above are used only to understand which published links people arrive through.
We do use third-party analytics and diagnostic services within the mobile app, which are described in section 2.14. They are used to understand how the app is used and why it fails, and not for advertising or profiling.
2.14 Analytics and diagnostic information
The Rev-N-Ryd mobile app uses a number of Google services, provided as part of Firebase, to understand how the app is used, to detect and diagnose failures, and to measure performance. These services collect information automatically while you use the app.
Google Analytics for Firebase. Records which screens you open and which actions you take in the app — for example, opening a screen, tapping a button, moving through the steps of creating a ride, starting or completing a ride, adding a stop, responding to a permission prompt, or opening the app from a notification or link. We use this to understand which features are used, where people abandon a flow, and which parts of the app need improvement.
Events are recorded against an app-instance identifier generated by Google on your device. We do not send your Rev-N-Ryd account identifier, name, email address or phone number to this service, and we do not set a user identifier that would link analytics records to your account.
We have deliberately limited what these events may contain. Only a fixed, predefined list of parameters is permitted, and anything outside it is discarded before transmission. In particular, the following are never sent: your location or any coordinates, destination, stop or place names, addresses, ride, rider, Circle or post identifiers, search terms you type, the text of posts, comments or messages, notification contents, and free-text you enter such as a reason for cancelling a ride. Where a value is needed it is reduced to a fixed category — for example, a failure is recorded as "network" or "timeout" rather than as an error message.
Firebase Crashlytics. Records crashes and unhandled errors so that we can find and fix them. A report contains technical information about the failure and the device — such as the error type, the stack trace, the app version, the operating system version and the device model. We do not attach your account identifier to crash reports, and we do not add custom user information to them.
Firebase Performance Monitoring. Measures how quickly the app starts, how long network requests take, and how quickly it connects to real-time services, so that we can identify and correct slow or failing parts of the app. Web addresses recorded by this service have identifiers removed before transmission, so a request is recorded by the type of operation rather than by the ride, Circle or rider it concerned.
Firebase Cloud Messaging. Delivers push notifications to your device, as described in sections 2.9 and 2.10.
These services are provided by Google, which processes the information on infrastructure it operates. Information about how Google handles data received through these services is available in Google's Privacy Policy and in Google's Firebase privacy documentation.
Analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring are active in released versions of the app. They are disabled in internal development builds.
2.15 Maps, places, routes and weather
Rev-N-Ryd uses Google Maps Platform for maps, place search and details, route planning and travel-time estimates, and weather information.
- Maps are displayed by Google's map software within the app. Displaying a map involves your device communicating with Google.
- Place search, routes and weather requests are sent from the app to our servers, which then send them to Google. A request may include the locations involved, such as a meeting point, stops, a destination, or your current or base location for weather, and, for place search, the text you type.
- We use the results to show you places, routes, estimated travel times and weather. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Google processes this information under its own terms, described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Section 12.1 describes the controls available to you, including the fact that the app does not offer an in-app setting to switch off this collection.
3. How We Collect Information
3.1 Information you provide directly
Most of the information described above is information you provide to us: your profile details, your garage, your Circle and ride details, your posts, comments and messages, your identity verification submission, your reports, and your support and contact requests.
3.2 Information generated through your use of the Service
Some information is generated as a result of how you use the Service. This includes your Circle memberships and ride participation, invitations and join requests, connections with other riders, saved items, your notification records, and your location information at the times when a location-based feature is in use.
3.3 Information received from authentication and integrated services
When you sign in, we receive from the authentication service the identifier associated with your account and, depending on the sign-in method, the email address or phone number associated with it. We do not receive your Google account password, and we do not receive access to your Google account contents.
We do not connect Rev-N-Ryd to social media accounts, advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not obtain personal information about you from third-party data sources.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information for the following purposes.
Creating and managing your account. To register your account, authenticate you, maintain your session, keep your profile current, and manage account status, including suspension and deletion.
Providing the Service. To operate the app and website, display your profile, garage, Circles, rides, feed and notifications, and make the features of the Service available to you.
Enabling rides and Circles. To allow you to create, discover, join and organise rides; to allow you to create, join and participate in Circles; and to manage invitations, join requests, membership and ownership.
Enabling communication and social features. To deliver your posts, comments, chat messages, mentions and reactions to the riders they are intended for, and to operate connections, search and discovery.
Identity verification and access control. To review identity verification submissions, to record the outcome, and to determine which features of the Service are available to your account.
Enabling location-based functionality. To provide maps, routes, meeting point suggestions and location-relevant discovery, and to share your position with a ride group where you have chosen to do so.
Notifications. To send you the notifications you have enabled, and to manage delivery to your devices.
Safety and security. To protect the Service and its users, detect and prevent misuse, fraud and abuse, and maintain the integrity and availability of the Service.
Responding to support requests. To receive, investigate and respond to the questions, problems and requests you send us.
Investigating reports and misuse. To review reports submitted by riders, investigate conduct that may breach our rules, and take appropriate action.
Enforcing our Terms and Community Guidelines. To apply and enforce our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, including restricting, suspending or removing accounts and content.
Improving, maintaining and developing the Service. To diagnose faults, understand and correct problems, measure performance and stability, understand how features of the app are used, and improve and develop the Service. The analytics and diagnostic services used for this purpose are described in section 2.14.
Complying with legal obligations. To meet obligations that apply to us, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. Identity Verification
5.1 Why verification exists
Rev-N-Ryd is used to arrange rides between people who meet in the real world. Identity verification exists to raise the level of accountability on the platform, to reduce impersonation and fraudulent accounts, and to give riders a basis on which to decide whom to ride with.
5.2 Account creation and access to core functionality are not the same thing
Creating an account and completing registration does not, by itself, give you access to the core functionality of the Service.
Identity verification may be deferred at the point of account creation, but access to the central features of Rev-N-Ryd is restricted until verification requirements are satisfied. In particular, until your account is verified, you may not:
- create a Circle;
- request to join a Circle;
- create a ride;
- request to join a ride;
- accept an invitation to a ride;
- approve another rider's request to join a ride you organise.
The following remain available to an unverified account: browsing and searching for riders, sending and accepting connection requests, exploring places and events, saving items, managing your profile and settings, submitting reports, and contacting support.
Verification should therefore be understood as a requirement for meaningful participation in the Service, not as an optional enhancement.
5.3 What is processed
To verify your account, you select an accepted identity document type and submit an image of that document, together with a photograph of yourself taken for verification purposes. Where the document type has a reverse side, you may be asked to submit an image of it.
Your photograph is compared with the document by a person reviewing your submission. We do not use automated facial recognition, and we do not create a facial template or other biometric profile from it.
We do not carry out criminal record checks, credit checks, driving record checks or insurance checks, and we do not obtain information about you from any third-party verification database.
5.4 Who has access
Verification submissions are reviewed by Rev-N-Ryd personnel authorised to carry out that review. Access is limited to those who need it for that purpose and for related safety, security and support functions.
Other riders never have access to your identity document or your verification photograph. What other riders can see is your verification status — that is, whether or not your account is verified — which appears alongside your name in the app.
5.5 Outcomes and changes in status
A verification submission is approved or rejected following review. Where a submission is rejected, we record the reason and you may submit a further attempt. We retain the record of earlier attempts so that a decision can be explained if you ask about it.
Verification status is not necessarily permanent. If you change the first or last name on a verified account, verification status lapses automatically, because the name we reviewed no longer corresponds to the name on the account, and you will need to verify again in order to retain access to the features listed above. We may also decline or withdraw verification where we have reason to believe a submission is inaccurate, fraudulent, or does not relate to the account holder.
5.6 The limits of verification
Verification confirms that an identity document was reviewed against a photograph of the account holder and considered to correspond. It is not a background check, and it is not a statement about a rider's licence, insurance, motorcycle, riding skill, experience, judgement or character. Verification status must not be relied upon as an assurance of safety or trustworthiness.
5.7 Deletion
Where your account is deleted, the identity document image and verification photograph you submitted are removed as part of the deletion process described in section 10.
6. Location and Ride Mode
6.1 When location permission is requested
Rev-N-Ryd requests location permission during registration, in the context of setting the location you use as your base. Permission for the app to access your location while it is running in the background is requested separately, and only after permission to access your location while the app is in use has already been granted.
You may grant, decline or withdraw either permission at any time through your device settings. Declining or withdrawing location permission will limit the location-based features of the Service.
6.2 When location information is collected
Location information is collected when you use a feature that requires it:
- Setting your base. We hold the location you select as your home base, and a current location where you choose to set one, so that meeting point suggestions and location-relevant discovery can function.
- Planning and viewing rides. Maps, route planning and meeting point suggestions use location information.
- Ride Mode. Your position is shared with your ride group while a ride is in progress, subject to the conditions in the following paragraph.
The Service does not track your location continuously or in the background outside these circumstances.
6.3 Sharing your position during a ride
Position sharing operates in two distinct phases, and in both of them it applies only to riders who have been accepted as participants of the ride and who have taken a positive step to begin sharing.
Travelling to the meeting point. Once you indicate that you are on your way to a ride's meeting point, your position is shared with the other accepted participants who have themselves indicated that they are on their way or have arrived. Riders who have not done so can neither share nor view position information for that ride, and there is no exception for the ride organiser. Sharing in this phase begins only when you indicate that you are travelling; it does not begin when you join a ride.
During the ride. Once the ride is in progress, your position is shared with the accepted participants of that ride where you have chosen to share it.
In both phases, your position and related movement information are shared with the accepted participants of that ride, and with no one else. Your position is not shared with your connections generally, with the members of your Circles, with other riders nearby, or publicly.
We hold your most recent position only. Each update replaces the previous one, and no continuous history of your movements is accumulated from this feature. Where you have granted background location permission, your position continues to be shared with your ride group while the ride is in progress and the app is running in the background. It does not continue once you close the app, and it does not operate when you are not taking part in a ride that is in progress.
You may stop sharing your position at any time.
SOS alerts. During a ride in progress, you can raise an SOS alert. Raising one notifies the other accepted participants of that ride, through the app and by push notification, that you have asked for attention. Your position remains visible to them on the same basis as described above. SOS alerts go only to the riders in that ride. They do not go to Rev-N-Ryd staff, emergency services or anyone else, and an SOS alert is not a substitute for contacting emergency services (see section 6.5).
Your location is not included in the analytics or diagnostic information described in section 2.14. Coordinates and place names are excluded from analytics events by design, and web addresses recorded by performance monitoring have identifiers removed before they are transmitted.
6.4 Route recordings
The Rev-N-Ryd app does not record or store a history of the routes you ride. Taking part in a ride, sharing your position during one, and using route navigation do not create a saved recording of your movements.
A route-recording capability exists in our systems but is not offered in the app: there is no control anywhere in Rev-N-Ryd that starts a recording, and no recording can be created without one. If we make this feature available to riders in a future version, it will require you to start a recording expressly, and we will update this Policy before doing so.
6.5 Accuracy
Location information in the Service is derived from your device and your mobile connection. It may be delayed, imprecise or unavailable, including because of signal conditions, device settings, battery state or permissions. A rider's position shown in the app is an indication of where that rider's device last reported being, and should not be relied upon as an accurate statement of where they are.
Rev-N-Ryd is not an emergency service and must not be relied upon to locate a person or to obtain assistance in an emergency. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
7. Voice and Communications
7.1 Ride Broadcast (live group voice)
Rev-N-Ryd provides a live group voice feature, called Ride Broadcast, that allows one rider at a time to speak to the other riders taking part in a ride. It is a live transmission feature, not a messaging feature: there is no voice inbox and no playback.
Rev-N-Ryd does not record, store or review voice audio. No recording of a voice transmission is created by the Service, and no recording exists for Rev-N-Ryd to retain, review or disclose.
Voice audio is transmitted through a specialist real-time communications provider engaged by us for that purpose, in order to reach the other riders in your group. Rev-N-Ryd retains no copy of it.
The information we process in connection with this feature is limited to what is needed to coordinate a session — which riders are connected, and which rider currently has permission to speak — and that information exists only for the duration of the session.
Voice transmissions can be heard by the riders connected to the voice session for the ride you are taking part in, and by no one else. Microphone permission is requested when you first use the feature and may be withdrawn at any time through your device settings.
7.2 Posts, comments and messages
Posts, comments, reactions, Circle chat messages, ride chat messages and timeline updates are stored so that the Service can display them to the riders they are intended for. They remain available to those riders until they are deleted or your account is deleted.
As noted above, Rev-N-Ryd does not provide private one-to-one messaging. Content posted in a Circle or a ride is visible to every member of that Circle or participant in that ride, and may be copied or repeated by them outside the Service.
8. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We share personal information in the following circumstances.
8.1 With other users of the Service
Parts of your information are visible to other riders, depending on the feature and the context:
- Your profile. Your name, username, profile and cover photographs, biography, age, gender, verification status, garage and riding preferences are visible to riders who can find you, including through search and discovery.
- Your connections. Your connections are visible to the riders concerned, and, depending on your settings, your city, connections and Circles may be shown on your profile.
- Circles. Members of a Circle can see your membership and your posts, comments, reactions and chat messages in that Circle.
- Rides. Participants of a ride can see that you have joined, your role in the ride, and your ride chat messages. Ride organisers can see requests to join. Where you have chosen to share your position and the ride is in progress, accepted participants can see your position.
- Shared links. Where you or another rider generates a link to a profile, ride, Circle, post, place or event, that link resolves to a page on our website showing a preview of the item. A profile is only shown in a public preview where the profile's visibility setting permits it.
- Blocking. Where you block another rider, or another rider blocks you, you cease to appear to one another in search, discovery and friend matching, in both directions.
The following are never displayed to other riders: your email address, your phone number, your identity document or verification photograph, the results of contact matching, and the reports you have submitted.
8.2 With service providers
We use service providers that act on our behalf to support the operation of the Service. Google provides sign-in, notification delivery, the Firebase services described in section 2.14, and the Google Maps Platform services described in section 2.15. We also use providers that support authentication, notification delivery, storage of uploaded content, database and hosting services, maps and location functionality, real-time voice communication, analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring, and the handling of enquiries submitted through our website. The analytics and diagnostic services are described in section 2.14.
These providers process personal information in order to provide their services to us and for the purposes described in this Policy. We do not authorise them to use it to build advertising profiles or to sell it. Some providers, including Google, also process limited information for their own operational purposes such as securing and maintaining their services, on the terms set out in their own policies.
Identity verification submissions are reviewed by Rev-N-Ryd, not by a third-party verification provider.
8.3 For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose personal information where we consider in good faith that it is necessary to:
- comply with an applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request;
- enforce our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, including investigating potential breaches;
- detect, prevent or address fraud, security or technical problems; or
- protect the rights, property or safety of Rev-N-Ryd, our users or the public, including where there is a risk of serious harm.
8.4 In connection with a business transfer
If Rev-N-Ryd is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Where that occurs, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the information remains subject to this Policy or to a policy providing comparable protection, and we will notify you where required to do so by applicable law.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including:
- operating the Service and providing the features you use;
- maintaining the integrity of shared content, such as Circles and rides that other riders continue to take part in;
- protecting the security of the Service and of its users;
- investigating and acting on reports, misuse and breaches of our rules;
- resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements; and
- complying with legal obligations that apply to us.
In general, information associated with your account is retained while your account remains active. Where information is no longer needed for any of the purposes above, it is deleted or anonymised.
Some categories are shorter-lived by their nature. Information shared through Ride Mode reflects only your most recent reported position and is replaced with each update rather than accumulated. Information used to coordinate a live voice session exists only for the duration of that session.
Analytics, crash and performance records described in section 2.14 are held by Google under the retention periods that apply to those services, and are not stored against your account. Because they are not linked to your account identifier, deleting your account does not delete them, and they cannot be used to identify you from our records.
Retention of information following a request to delete your account is governed by the process described in the next section.
10. Account Deletion
You may delete your account from the settings within the app. If you no longer have access to the app, you may make the request through our Contact Us page.
10.1 Before deletion can proceed
If you own a Circle, or you are the organiser of a ride that is scheduled or in progress, you will be asked to transfer that responsibility to another member before deletion can proceed. The app identifies which Circles and rides are affected and allows you to transfer ownership or organiser responsibility. This requirement exists so that a Circle or a ride is not left without anyone responsible for it.
10.2 When you confirm the request
When you confirm a deletion request, the following happens immediately:
- You are signed out. Your existing sessions end and are no longer valid.
- Your account becomes unavailable to other riders. You no longer appear in search, discovery or friend matching, and you cannot be found, contacted or added.
- Your identity ceases to be displayed. Where you continue to appear in existing records — for example as the author of an earlier post, or as a participant in a past ride — your name, username and photograph are replaced with a generic representation, shown as Rev-N-Ryd User. Your identity stops being displayed from the moment you make the request, not at the end of the grace period.
10.3 The 7-day restoration period
Your account is held for 7 days following your request before deletion is finalised.
During that period, you may restore your account by signing in again with the same Google account or phone number you used previously. Restoration returns your original account, with your data, content and connections intact. Nothing is recreated and nothing is lost.
Only a genuine new sign-in can restore an account. Because your sessions are ended when you make the request, an application already running on your device cannot restore the account without you signing in. The 7-day period is fixed when you make the request and does not change.
10.4 After the restoration period
Once the 7-day period has passed, your account becomes due for final deletion and can no longer be restored. Deletion is carried out by a process that runs periodically rather than at the exact instant the period expires, so there may be a short delay between the two. When it runs:
- Content you uploaded is deleted, including your profile and cover photographs, media attached to your posts and messages, and the identity document image and verification photograph you submitted.
- Your sign-in identity is deleted.
- Personal information in your account record is removed. Your name, username, biography, date of birth, gender, email address, phone number, photographs, motorcycle details, saved locations and riding preferences are erased or replaced with a generic representation.
- Records that relate only to you are deleted, including your notifications and notification preferences, your registered devices, your garage, your connections, your saved items, your event attendances, your support submissions, your mentions, the position information shared during rides, and your reactions.
- Content you created is withdrawn from view. Your posts, comments, chat messages and timeline updates cease to be displayed to other users.
10.5 Historical records
Some historical records remain after deletion, because other riders continue to rely on them. Rides you took part in and Circles you posted in continue to exist for the riders still involved in them, and the record that a participant or an author existed is retained so that those histories remain coherent.
Those records no longer identify you. They do not contain your name, username, photograph, contact details or any information that identifies you as the former account holder, and where a former participant or author is shown at all, they are shown generically as Rev-N-Ryd User.
10.6 Creating a new account afterwards
Following final deletion, the Google account or phone number you previously used is released and may be used to register again. Doing so creates an entirely new Rev-N-Ryd account. It does not restore, reconnect to or provide access to the deleted account, and none of the previous account's data, content, connections or history is carried across.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical, organisational and administrative measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss. These include:
- encrypting information in transit between the app, the website and our servers;
- using hosting and storage providers that encrypt stored data;
- requiring sign-in for access to the Service;
- restricting access to identity verification submissions to authorised reviewers.
If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected users and the authorities where applicable law requires us to. Access to personal information within Rev-N-Ryd is limited to personnel who require it in order to operate, support and secure the Service, and to the service providers described in this Policy, who act on our instructions.
No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can help protect your account by keeping the Google account or phone number you use to sign in secure, and by contacting us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
12.1 Controls within the Service
Within the app, you may:
- review, correct or remove most of the information in your profile;
- set whether your profile may be shown to everyone or only to your connections, which governs whether your profile is displayed in a publicly shared link preview, and set whether your city, connections and Circles are shown on your profile;
- turn location sharing on and off, and grant or withdraw location, notification, camera, microphone and contacts permissions through your device settings;
- manage the notifications you receive;
- delete individual posts and comments you have created;
- block riders, and report content, riders, rides, Circles, places and events;
- leave Circles and rides; and
- delete your account.
The app does not provide an in-app setting to turn off the analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring described in section 2.14, and these are enabled by default in released versions of the app. You can stop this collection entirely by uninstalling the app. If we introduce an in-app control for this collection, or a consent mechanism where applicable law requires one, we will update this Policy.
12.2 Rights under applicable law
Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information:
- to access the personal information we hold about you;
- to have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- to request deletion of your personal information;
- to request that we restrict certain processing;
- to object to certain processing;
- to receive a copy of certain information in a portable format;
- to withdraw consent, where our processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal; and
- to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
12.3 Your rights in India
If you use Rev-N-Ryd in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it apply to how we handle your personal information. In particular:
- Consent. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. Some features, such as identity verification or friend discovery, cannot work without the related information.
- Access. You may ask for a summary of the personal information we process about you and the processing activities, and the identities of others we have shared it with, as the law provides.
- Correction and erasure. You may ask us to correct, complete or update your information, and to erase information that is no longer needed, subject to the retention described in sections 9 and 10.
- Grievance redressal. You may raise a grievance with us about how your personal information is handled, using the contact details in section 17.
- Nomination. You may nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Complaints. If you are not satisfied with our response to a grievance, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
These rights are not absolute, and their availability and scope depend on the law that applies to you. Some may not be available in your jurisdiction, and some may be limited where we are required or permitted by law to retain information, or where fulfilling a request would adversely affect the rights of other users.
12.4 Making a request
You can exercise the controls in the app directly. For any other request relating to your personal information, please email support@revnryd.com or contact us through our Contact Us page.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, particularly where the request concerns account deletion or access to personal information, and we may ask you for information that allows us to do so. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
13. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Rev-N-Ryd website is a static informational website. It does not set cookies, does not store information in your browser for tracking purposes, and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. Where you submit a form on the website, such as a contact request or a waiting list registration, the information you enter is transmitted to us so that we can respond to it.
Some pages of the website load fonts from a third-party font service. As a result, your browser makes a request to that service when you open those pages, and that service receives your IP address and standard browser request information. The fonts are used solely for presentation, and we do not use this to identify or track visitors.
The Rev-N-Ryd mobile app does not use cookies and does not use advertising or ad-tracking software. It does use Google's Firebase analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring services, which do not rely on cookies but do collect usage and diagnostic information automatically, including identifiers generated on your device. These are described in full in section 2.14.
If we introduce cookies or similar technologies in future, we will update this Policy and, where required by applicable law, obtain your consent before doing so.
14. International Processing
Rev-N-Ryd uses service providers that may process personal information in countries other than the country in which you are located. The data protection laws of those countries may differ from those of your own.
Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps designed to ensure that it continues to be protected in accordance with this Policy, and we put in place the safeguards required by applicable law where such safeguards are required.
15. Children's Privacy and Age Requirements
Rev-N-Ryd is intended for individuals aged 18 or over. The registration process requires a date of birth and will not allow registration to be completed where the date of birth provided indicates that the person is under 18.
The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that an account has been created by a person under 18, we will remove that account and the associated personal information. If you believe that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us through our Contact Us page.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, to our practices, or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Where a change materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention, and we will obtain your consent where applicable law requires it. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
